Erika & Rich | A Whimsical Fall Wedding at Gurney’s Montauk

There is something special about Montauk. The ocean air, the calm light, the mix of coastal beauty and understated luxury. Every time I photograph a wedding at Gurney’s, it feels like stepping into a story that wants to be told. Erika and Rich’s wedding was exactly that. Heartfelt, elegant, and full of moments that reminded me why I love documentary wedding photography.

As a New York wedding photographer who spends a lot of time between Long Island and the East End, Gurney’s has become one of my favorite places to capture couples. The natural light, the views, and the relaxed energy let people be themselves. That is exactly what I aim for in my work. Real moments, real connection, and a touch of high end refinement in every frame.

Getting Ready at Gurney’s Montauk

Her dress, her details, and even her Jimmy Choo heels hanging along the Montauk dune fence all came together to represent her simple and refined style.

Walking down the steps of the church, they were met with cheers, bubbles, and the kind of joy that makes photographing weddings such a privileg

Romantic Portraits in Montauk

After the ceremony, we made our way back toward the ocean. Montauk gifted us the kind of golden light that every photographer dreams of. Erika and Rich were effortless together. They laughed, held onto each other, and let the day unfold naturally.

The wind, the dunes, and the late fall sun created a whimsical, almost cinematic feel. These portraits reflect everything I aim for in my work as a Long Island wedding photographer. Honest moments, clean composition, and an elevated sense of style.
